Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, the purposes for which it is used, and the limited situations in which another party may receive it. By continuing to use Nodaway County Criminal History, you agree to the practices stated here.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or place entered into a search box is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the exchange. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, the server may record basic technical details about that visit:

  • Visit times and pages viewed
  • Your device's assigned IP address
  • Operating system and device category
  • Browser name and version
  • Time spent on viewed pages
  • A referring site, when one is reported

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files saved on a device. They and analytics services help combine traffic data, such as which pages draw use and where visits end. Browser settings can block cookies, though doing so may change how some site functions behave.

What We Do With This Data

  • Finding and repairing site errors
  • Operating the site and maintaining page speed
  • Routing a query to the selected search provider
  • Measuring which content is useful or needs improvement
  • Selecting advertising that may match visitor interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

Nodaway County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Nodaway County sheriff, Circuit Court, Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository, and Missouri Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not used to create consumer reports or files about other people.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies supply the search boxes. Their own privacy terms govern information submitted through a tool, including retention and disclosure choices beyond our control. Read the provider's policy before entering a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to the Nodaway County sheriff, Missouri court and agency portals, legal-aid resources, or outside tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy controls. Review it before providing personal details.

Some advertising providers may use their own systems to follow activity across sites and select ads. We do not operate that tracking.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:

  • Analytics vendors that measure traffic and performance
  • Outside search providers that receive submitted queries
  • Advertising networks that supply page ads
  • A government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal order

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for data in our control. No internet system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

The site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from a person under 18. If such data is brought to our attention, we will remove it.

Your Data Rights

Rights may vary with the law that applies to you. Missouri public-record access is governed by the Missouri Sunshine Law, Chapter 610, RSMo, while dissemination of Missouri criminal-history information is addressed by RSMo §43.509. Those laws govern public agencies and official criminal-history channels, not a new database held by this site. For data in our control, you may:

  • Request access to personal data we hold about you
  • Ask that incorrect personal data be corrected
  • Seek deletion of data where applicable
  • Decline certain processing where the law provides that choice

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised as practices or legal duties change. A new version will be posted here and identified by its effective date.
